Prevention saves a lot of treatment
Regular cleanings, fluoride and sealants protect your child's teeth against decay. It's also a chance to review brushing and habits at home, without judgment.

Who is it for?
All children, at regular intervals
Regular visits catch small problems before they become big ones.
Children whose permanent molars are coming in
The first adult molars arrive around age 6: the right time for sealants.
Children at higher risk of cavities
Frequent snacking, bottles at night, a history of cavities: we adjust prevention accordingly.
How it goes
A simple visit, explained step by step.
The exam
We check the teeth, gums and how the teeth are coming in. X-rays are taken only when useful.
The cleaning
We remove plaque and tartar with child-sized instruments, then polish the teeth.
Fluoride
A fluoride varnish is painted on the teeth to strengthen the enamel. It takes seconds and doesn't taste bad.
Sealants, if needed
A thin protective coating goes into the grooves of permanent molars, where the brush struggles to reach. No freezing needed.
Frequently asked questions
How often should my child come?
Generally every six months. Depending on your child's cavity risk, we may recommend visits closer together or further apart.
Is fluoride safe for children?
Yes, at the doses used in the clinic. Fluoride varnish is applied in a very small amount and is a recognized, effective way to prevent cavities in children.
What is a sealant?
A thin resin applied in the grooves of molars to keep food and bacteria out. It takes a few minutes to place and is checked at every visit.
Manual or electric toothbrush?
Both work if brushing is done well, twice a day, with fluoride toothpaste. Until age 7 or 8, a parent should supervise or finish the brushing.
