Parents' questions

You may be wondering…

At what age should I bring my child for the first time?

We recommend a first visit around age one, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. It is mostly a gentle introduction to get comfortable with the clinic.

Is laughing gas safe for children?

Nitrous oxide has been used in children's dental care for decades. Your child stays awake and breathes normally, and the effect wears off a few minutes after it is stopped. We assess every child before offering it.

When is general anesthesia recommended?

It may be recommended for very young children, extensive treatments, or children with special needs. It is offered on site in Westmount, after a full assessment with you.

What should I do in a dental emergency?

Call us at 514-935-5587. Describe the situation and we will do everything we can to see your child quickly. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, keep it in milk and call immediately.
